Did you know? GirlForward hosts a summer camp in both Austin, TX, and Chicago, IL! Camp provides a space for girls to simultaneously build their English skills and succeed academically while exploring their identities and learning about the world around them.

July 8th - August 2nd, 2024
Monday - Friday
10:00am - 3:00pm
~Fun Facts about Summer Camp~

It's free to join! We also provide free lunches and assist with transportation. For instance, in Chicago, we will provide a ventra card!

Summer camp participants are girls who self-identify as refugees, immigrants, and asylum seekers.
Participants must be entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade when they enroll in the program. Ages 14-19.

Camp GirlForward utilizes a literacy-based curriculum that explores the themes of identity, community, and power through classroom instruction and field trips.

Our Austin and Chicago summer camps provide opportunities to explore each city!
In Chicago this year, we'll visit the Field Museum, Chicago Mosaic School, REACH, Lincoln Park Zoo, and MORE!
In Austin, we'll have fun at the movies, visit the Caverns, and explore the best Austin has to offer!
